We fix what we get wrong, and we do it in the open.
How we correct
When we get something wrong, we fix it and we say we fixed it. A correction that changes the meaning of a piece is noted on the article itself, along with the date it was made, so you can see what changed and when. We do not quietly edit the record.
Updates vs corrections
Not every change is a correction. Fast-moving stories are updated as new information lands, and evergreen guides are refreshed on a schedule; those carry an updated date. A correction is different: it means we published something inaccurate and set it right. We treat the two differently and label them honestly.
What we correct
Factual errors, wrong figures, misattributed quotes, broken claims, anything that could mislead you. For anything touching your money or your security we hold a higher bar and act quickly.
