NeonPioneersis written by a small team you won't find on social media. That is deliberate, and here is the reasoning.
We cover industries built to influence reviewers. VPNs, crypto wallets, AI tools and the games business spend real money shaping coverage, through sponsorships, review units, affiliate deals, briefings, and the quiet promise of future access. The usual defence is a star writer with a personal brand. We think that is the weak point, not the safeguard. A named, public reviewer can be courted, flattered, pressured, offered a job, or slowly worn down by people they now know personally.
So we removed the target. Our writers publish under consistent pen names and keep no public profiles. There is no single person to lobby, no private inbox to charm, no personal reputation for a company to lean on.
You cannot buy a better score from someone who does not exist to be bought.
The verdict belongs to the publication, and the publication answers to its readers, not to its sources. None of this is new. The Economist has published anonymously for over a century, on the principle that what is written matters more than who writes it. We hold the same line, for the same reason.
